We and the Thompson School District recommend the I-Safe website and highly encourage all children and adults to visit this website below. It emphasizes the importance of Internet Safety with children by sharing the following basic rules with them:
Talk to people in the real world, face to face, NOT online.
Do not give anyone online your real last name, phone numbers at home or school, your parents'
workplaces, or the name or location of your school or home address.
Never give your password to anyone but a parent or other adult in your family.
Internet Safety is just as important at home as it is at school.
There are many awesome website out there, our goal is to make it easy for you to find them. We can not guarantee that your child will not click on the wrong thing, hence we recommend that an adult monitor or be close by while your child is on the internet.
